Cologne Cathedral..
Beautiful and 2000 yr old city Cologne in west Germany, holds majestic symbol On the shore of beautiful Rhine river, magnificent grandeur Gothic architecture, catholic cathedral, standing tall with twin spires which stole my heart at the first glance!! The mighty Cologne Dome. This is the Germany’s Most visited landmark and was declared as world’s heritage site in 1996. I was so amused by hearing the history that During World War 2 in 1944, when the whole city was devastated by Carpet Bombing, in spite of getting hits, cologne dome didn’t collapse and was standing tall amidst of completely flattened city.
Just Wow!!
Speaking about City, Cologne City possesses many noble churches, Museums, buildings & streets in Romanesque style. One more major landmark is Lindt Chocolate Museum, It’s a heaven for chocolate lovers like Me. You will get to taste some of the Yummy Finger licking Lindt chocolates and museum exhibits history of the chocolates. On the whole was totally enraptured by the splendid beauty and culture of the City.
The resplendent Structure of Majestic Cologne Dome is still fresh in my eyes and would like to take trip down to memory lane again & again 😊
